How to order a repeat prescription

If you take medicine regularly, you usually have a repeat prescription, allowing you to order your medication without needing to see a doctor every time. Here are the ways you can order your repeat prescription:

Through your NHS Account

The NHS App is a convenient and secure way to access NHS services online. You can download it on your smartphone or tablet from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

If you have an NHS Account, you can log in to your NHS Account to order your repeat prescription through the NHS App or NHS website. If you don’t have an NHS Account, visit the official NHS App webpage to learn how to set up an NHS Account.

Log in to order your repeat prescription through your NHS Account or find out how to set up an account.

Use Systmonline

Systmonline is our online service that allows you to manage your healthcare needs, including requesting repeat prescriptions. You can access it securely from your home PC, tablet, or mobile phone.

If you have a Systmonline account, log in via our website to order your repeat prescription. To set up an account, please speak to one of our Patient Service Advisors at reception or call us on 01733 204 611 for New Queen Street and 01733 568 569 for Stanground.

When you order your repeat prescription using the NHS App or Systmonline, you can request multiple medications in a single order.

In person

You can drop off your repeat prescription slip in the collection box in the waiting room or the post box outside New Queen Street and Stanground Surgeries.

Collecting your medicine

You can order your repeat prescription seven days in advance. Kindly give us 72 hours’ notice when ordering. When ordering your repeat prescription, please let us know which pharmacy you would like your prescription to be sent to for dispensing. If you would like to name or change your designated pharmacy, you can speak to a member of the dispensary team.

You can collect your medication from our dispensaries at New Queen Street and Stanground. We will send you a text message once your prescription is ready for collection. If you normally collect your prescription from a local pharmacy, you should liaise with them regarding the collection of your prescription.

If you would like to speak to our dispensers you can telephone 01733 204 611 and request a call back.

To find out more about repeat prescriptions including the opening hours of our dispensaries, please visit our repeat prescriptions page or read the information on our notice boards inside the surgery.
