Profile of Emily Roberts, our Management Support at New Queen Street
Emily joined the practice in 2013 as an administrative assistant and became PA to the Practice Manager three years later.
She said the friendly and welcoming team atmosphere at New Queen Street and Stanground was evident from the start.
She works at both sites and deals with health and safety and administrative systems and, together with Practice Manager Lyndsay and Associate Patient Services Manager Becky, helps keep the surgeries running as smoothly as possible.
Emily said: This role is really suited to my skillset as I am very logical and like prioritising work and getting tasks completed. Health and Safety takes up a lot of my time and I also manage our Radar and Rotamaster systems and deal with some HR responsibilities as well. As Lyndsay has been in a similar role previously, her help and training has been invaluable, particularly as I get to grips with some of the complexities and I have completed a lot of health and safety training courses as well.
‘In Management Support, the variety of tasks is huge. Yesterday I was sending out invitations to our flu clinics and today I helped with the filming of a promotional video to give patients more information about the newly installed health kiosks.
‘Every day is different and you never know what you will be dealing with which is why I love the role. New Queen Street and Stanground is definitely where I belong.’
