Ordering a Repeat Prescription

Ordering Prescriptions with the NHS App

The NHS App is a convenient and secure way to access NHS services online. You can download it on your smartphone or tablet from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

It is very quick and easy to order repeat prescriptions with the NHS App.

For more information about the App and how to download it please visit our NHS App page

For more information about ordering prescriptions in the App please visit the NHS website

Order Repeat Prescriptions Using SystmOnline

We  offer a secure, online service SystmOnline, which allows you to request repeat prescriptions and view  your medical record.  You can access it securely from your PC, tablet, or mobile phone. However, if you have the NHS App you may find it easier to access these features through the App instead.

If you want to use SystmOnline then you need to register for an account so please contact our practice for a username and password.

If you have a Systmonline account, log in via our website to order your repeat prescription.

When you order your repeat prescription using the NHS App or Systmonline, you can request multiple medications in a single order.

Other Ways to Order

In person: You can drop off your repeat prescription slip in the collection box in the waiting room or the post box outside New Queen Street and Stanground Surgeries.

Requesting Additional Medication

Re-ordering your prescription early or more then a months worth of tablets at a time. If you need to order your prescriptions early, or request a longer period than normal i.e. you are going on holidays for several weeks, could you please make the request early and give the practice as much information about why you need the prescription early or for longer, then the practice will do its utmost to accommodate your request.

The reception staff then have to ask a doctor to review each request so the more information and time we have about the unusual request the better. Or if you are in any doubt, please telephone us to make the request.

Collecting your Medicine

When ordering your repeat prescription, please let us know which pharmacy you would like your prescription to be sent to for dispensing. If you would like to name or change your designated pharmacy, you can speak to a member of the dispensary team.

You can collect your medication from our dispensary at New Queen Street. We will send you a text message once your prescription is ready for collection. If you normally collect your prescription from a local pharmacy, you should liaise with them regarding the collection of your prescription.
